Crib sheets

Yet another great idea by Made. I've known for a while now that I would like to make my own sheets so this was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon.

Dali Decals

Decals

You know, it might just be worth paying for a decal. There are so many on this site that appeal to me & it sure would save me a whole lot of hassle trying to design & paint my own...

Loud blanket

Oh baby gift idea! Finally a craft that makes a great gift for boys too! Tutorial found over at Amazing Moms. It's made using a baby wipes plastic envelope inside to make a crinkly sound. Rachel over at Smile and Wave made a loud blanket for her little one, see below:

Then I saw this little flower & thought that would actually be a really cool shape for a noisy toy, hmmm, so many possibilities.

I want to make cloud cookies like that! I guess just drawing with icing & then dipping the cookie into those little white candies.

oooh!!! the little cloud pendant (above) gives me the happy shivers!! so amazing!

Source

A while ago I saw a picture of a white stuffed cloud hung above someone's couch on their living room wall. I went to search for it & although I wasn't able to locate the original cloud picture these pictures are what I came across & couldn't help but love. I'm definitely keeping this idea in mind for a nursery, it goes along with my tree & bird theme as well as maintaining a gender neutral concept. A big fleece cloud pillow to snuggle sounds like an awesome idea! I love rain, so clouds don't signify anything sad to me.

chandeliers

I have a fascination with chandeliers lately... absolutely love the idea of a room with simple clean lines, & an awesome chandelier hanging there taking the spotlight. Actually I'm loving the concept of hanging a chandelier in a future nursery. I'm sure a baby would love to look at a chandelier even more than I do. The pictures above are some glass chandelier pieces that I have, I take them out once in a while to admire them & consider what I could do with them. I'm really not sure.

As for some other chandelier pictures that I've been admiring lately though I could go on & on.

ooooooh, baby cocoon!!!

source

I can't stop oogling over this picture. Love love love it!!!

FO should measure approx 8in. wide and 13.5-14in. long
Size: Newborn
Gage: approximately 2.5 stitches per inch (10 stitches = 4 inches)
Yarn: 1.5 skeins or approx. 100 yards of Super Bulky - I used Aquarella Malabrigo
Materials Needed:
40” US13 knitting needle
embroidery needle
tape measure
stitch marker

Cast on 40 stitches. Join in the round, place marker and begin knitting in stockinette stitch. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until knitted piece measures 12 inches in length. Follow decrease sequence. End by running a 6” tail of yarn through remaining 8 stitches. Weave in ends. I did not wash nor block my cocoon as I wanted it to retain the “puffy” yarn look instead of the flatter more uniform look of a washed/blocked garment. Gently place newborn in cocoon and cuddle. Don’t forget to snap a few pictures for everyone to swoon over. <3

Decrease sequence
R1: *K8, K2tog, repeat around from* (36 stitches remain)
R2: K all stitches
R3: *K7, K2tog, repeat around from* (32 stitches remain)
R4: K all stitches
R5: *K6, K2tog, repeat around from* (28 stitches remain)
R6: *K5, K2tog, repeat around from* (24 stitches remain)
R7: *K4, K2tog, repeat around from* (20 stitches remain)
R8: *K3, K2tog, repeat around from* (16 stitches remain)
R9: *K2, K2tog, repeat around from* (12 stitches remain)
R10: K all stitches
R11: K2tog around (8 stitches remain)
R12: cut 10” tail to weave through eight remaining stitches.

bird mobile

Ahhh, the bird mobile concept that was lost & now has been found!!! As I mentioned before that I wanted to continue to post the pictures of the ideas I have for future projects so I don't forget them. I know, I know, no baby & still I persist in thinking about the nursery!
