Branches from the mock orange bush. I'm just sitting here smelling them every so often. I was actually trying to take out some of the dead branches that are closest to the fence that is just now being replaced. Once the new fence is put up it will be nearly impossible to prune out that side again as the tree is impractically close to the fence. Much to my surprise, many of the old branches that I cut out because they looked dead, ugly & poorly pruned in years past, had blossoms on the tips! That, is how I ended up cutting off such copious quantities of buds & how I ended up with such a gorgeous bouquet.
