wow

Well I did manage to finish the messenger bag... finally. I learned a lot, by doing everything the hard way. It was a gift & customized with the letters WOW which stand for world of warcraft, yes a computer game. I wrote the letters freehand with fabric paint. I also added some zig-zag & straight stitching to the front to add stability as well as to add a bit of a rugged effect. It was my first zipper, that was interesting. Surprisingly the hardest part for me was the strap as I decided to use two different fabrics, one of which stretched a lot & caused a lot of little gathers. It was a good experience to learn how to sew a bag!
